Beautiful countryside setting and very comfortable, lovely room. Tasty meals and they kindly let me eat breakfast in my room when I was ill - thank you! Great family place to stay when visiting Canterbury.
Slightly too far to walk to Canterbury city if you don't have a car or bicycle, but we picked the place because it was in the quiet countryside setting away from the hustle & bustle of city life so it was good.
Lovely farmhouse nearby Canterbury. Very kind personnel. Good breakfast. Very nice view on the garden!
Garden cottage was fine, would have been good for a longer stay and walking through the area. Lovely area, very quiet. Breakfast was good, and area pubs for dinner were very good. Staff very friendly. Very good access to Canterbury.
Beds were a little soft for me, and a little crowded in the space. I imagine that the cottage would be very warm if you used the fireplace.
Very close to Canterbury town centre, but somehow in the countryside. Beautiful annexe room at the end of the Garden, and lovely welcoming staff
The breakfast was good and the friendly way we were mislead is also excellent!
Little wouden barn far away from the house. The place is like a caravan, you could hardly walk through the room with the 2 beds in it. Heating only in the evening and not at night or morning. We have to sleep with our cloths on during the night becauce of the cold. Very small badroom in the corner with very little water capacity on the shower and also no heating. No decent place to sit for eating or cooking. When you would like to use the burning stove you would certain set your bed on fire! Spiders on the wall. Photo's are misleading on the site!!!!!!!! It is not what it seems to be. Flat screen tv available indeed but noting to see on it just 4 channels!
Very friendly and a fantastic location just outside Canterbury. The rooms were well furnished and the breakfast excellent
Very friendly welcome, lovely clean room seperate to the house. Great breakfast. Only £7 in a taxi to town so you get the relaxation of a farmhouse stay but very accessible to the city. Lovely hosts.
The check in and out times. Check in wasn't till 6pm and we would have liked to go earlier and chill out in the room before going out for dinner. Check out was 10am which I thought was a little early for a weekend as we want a relaxing weekend with a lay in. Would definitely recommend it though and everything else was perfect.
Lovely room, really friendly staff and the best bacon in the world for breakfast
Very friendly and helpful hosts; very clean and comfortable accommodation; excellent breakfast.
Small friendly farmhouse setting with some privacy Good food and plenty of it studio appartment was ideal
Could be difficult to find> Needs clearer signage
Lovely double room in the nice peaceful location but only a few minutes drive from the centre of Canterbury. Very friendly and welcoming. Wonderful breakfast too. Wished we could have stayed longer and would certainly go there again.
Wonderful service, comfortable and cozy; good breafast and quiet cottage with birds singing.
Not too far from central Canterbury.
Additional charge for my eight year old despite sharing bed with us.
The room was large and comfortable. It was nicely appointed with extras such as free WiFi and a decent tv with Freeview. The location was excellent: It was quiet, peaceful and set in lovely open countryside but only a ten minute drive from the centre of Canterbury. The family that runs the b&b is lovely but they gave us lots of space so we didn't feel like we were intruding on their family home. The main reason we booked this accommodation is because they take dogs, which is great. Their family dog was very friendly, although our dogs didn’t get along very well. The farm has a lovely big garden and there is a bridle path nearby which is good for dog walking. Overall the place was very welcoming and pleasant. It's ideal if you want somewhere quiet but close to the town.
Check-in is from 6pm so at this time of year we arrived after dark. The approach to the farmhouse is down an unlit single track road. This was quite an unpleasant drive and we weren't sure how far to drive down the road, so I would like to see them offer earlier check-in during the winter (it wouldn't be an issue in the summer). Although there was a kettle and tea/coffee in the room, there was no milk provided. Although they will happily give you fresh some milk I feel this should've been provided as a matter of routine. We booked this hotel because they take dogs and feel that we paid a premium for this. Although very pleasant indeed, I don't think it is particularly good value for money.
The welcome was superb even though we arrived later than expected. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful and we would happily go back in Spring. a real Garden of England.
